Whether you are looking for an agency or publisher, need help with grant applications, accounting, publishing contracts, or self-publishing, our experts are happy to assist you with their advice.
To kick off the month, we will be hosting two consultation days on November 6, 2025. Author and publisher Daniela Seel will be on hand in our consultation room (Kolonnenstr. 26) to advise on finding agencies and publishers with a focus on poetry, while Andra Schwarz will be sharing her best tips and tricks for writing compelling grant applications via Zoom.
If you are seeking assistance with scholarships and applications or with time management and work organization as a freelance writer, you can contact advisor Nina Bußmann in person at our consultation room (Kolonnenstr. 26) on November 12, 2025.
The economic aspects of freelancing and questions relating to accounting will be the focus of the digital consultation day with Christine Wagner on November 18, 2025.
Do you have a publishing contract in the pipeline and questions about it? Barbara Handke does not offer legal advice, but thanks to her many years of experience in publishing, she can help you interpret publishing contracts. She is also familiar with the usual fee rates and can point out negotiation options. The digital consultation day with her will take place on November 20, 2025, via Zoom.
The topic of self-publishing has a lot of pitfalls. That’s why we’re having two consultation days on the topic in November. On November 21, 2025, Adam Fletcher will be advising authors in English who have questions about self-publishing for the English-speaking market. On November 25, 2025, Michael Meisheit will hold a consultation day for German-speaking authors who want to take the plunge into self-publishing. Both consultation days will take place via Zoom.
Anyone thinking about starting their own podcast should definitely take the opportunity to get advice from experienced producer and podcaster Susan Stone. The consultation day with her, originally planned for October, unfortunately had to be postponed to November 27, 2025, but there are now free appointments available for you again. The consultations will take place digitally via Zoom.
Appointments for individual consultation days can be booked approximately one to two weeks in advance.
