I am a poet, writer, playwright and librettist, originally from Buenos Aires. In my texts, I aim to create fantasies that expand our social and political horizons. In 2017 I started an art and literature project called Writing Gatherings, in which we create collective and multilingual pieces of writing, and I have been running creative writing workshops since 2012.
Consultation language:
English, Spanish
Typical questions during consultations:
How can I find a writing community that speaks my language? How can I connect with other writers in Berlin? Where can I go to listen to poetry in English or Spanish? Where can I buy books in English or Spanish? How can I find an online community? Is it possible to share my writing practice on social media? How can I maintain an active social media presence that is sustainable and true to my practice? How can I organise my day so that I have time to write above everything else?

What professional experience do you have in your field of consultation?
I have worked as a freelance writer in Latin America and Europe for the last ten years. I have written theatre plays, poems, performance texts and libretti, and created visual and sound art installations in various contexts with different institutions and independent art spaces. During this time, I have learned how to organise my schedule to make time for writing, how to share my work and workshops online, and how to find and create a writing community (and how important that is!)
What are some of your professional achievements?
I am extremely happy that my poems and plays have won national and international awards. My work has been supported by several international institutions, including Akademie Schloss Solitude, Académie du Festival d’Aix, Senatsverwaltung für Kultur und Europa, and London’s Royal Court Theatre. My texts have been published in Argentina and France, as well as in anthologies in Germany, Peru, Mexico and the USA. In Berlin, I have presented my work at the Maxim Gorki Theatre, the Literarisches Colloquium Berlin e.V., the Haus für Poesie, the Poesiefestival and the Internationales Literaturfestival.
What were your greatest challenges in the early years of your career?
One of my greatest challenges was finding the time to write and trusting what I was writing or what I wanted to experiment with my writing. At that time, as well as now, I wrote texts that didn’t easily fit into traditional literary genres. I believe that one of the challenges in literature is to listen to the text and give it the form it needs rather than the form the market or audience expects. Another great challenge was finding my own writing community, writers I could trust and share my work with.
What advice would you give to those interested in working in your field?
I would encourage them to find their own path in the literary world, find your community, your spaces, make it your way, maybe combining approaches or elements that haven’t been tried before. It can be difficult, but it is also possible and wonderful.
