Please introduce yourself in two or three sentences.
I can’t imagine a world without literature. Or at least I would not want to be there… I write, edit, moderate, review and advise.
What professional experience do you have in your field of consultation?
After training at the Medizinische Fachschule in Dresden, I studied literature and cultural studies at Humboldt University. After my studies, I worked as a dramaturge for a company that developed material for film and television, and also started to develop my own material. Since 2007 I’ve written for children, young adults and adults. Together with Nadia Budde I developed an award-winning website and an app. Since 2023, I’ve moderated a reading series at the Amerika Gedenkbibliothek. For many years, I’ve worked for rbb (Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg), selecting books for the radio programme Quergelesen, and now for Timster as well. I’m a jury member for the BKM’s film funding programme, and an editor for Medienboard Berlin Brandenburg (MBB). For over ten years I’ve coached authors on their literary projects.
What are typical questions that prospective clients might ask you in a consultation?
What does a good proposal look like? How to deal with writer’s block? How can I find a grant for my project? What does a jury expect from an application? How do I put together a good team for a project?
What are some of your professional achievements?
In 2017 I won the Peter Härtling Prize for my book, “Strom auf der Tapete” (Electricity on the Wallpaper).
