Valentin Tritschler (* 1987 in Südbaden) lives in Berlin as a freelance writer. He studied German and Spanish language and literature studies, as well as comparative literature at the FU Berlin and in Seville. From 2014 to 2019 he worked as a literary agent at Elisabeth Ruge Agentur, which today represents more than 120 authors. Besides few selected non-fiction writers such as Jan Skudlarek or Ferda Ataman Valentin Tritschler also acquired poets such as Maren Kames, although he mainly represented younger novelists, for example Helene Bukowski, Alina Herbing, Hannes Köhler, Gianna Molinari, Jakob Nolte, Hendrik Otremba, Sebastian Stuertz, Philipp Winkler, Julia Wolf and many more. For his own literary work – published under the pen name Valentin Moritz – he has been given several stipends. His first novel “Kein Held” was published in the summer of 2020. In the year 2021, he was awarded a working grant as Artist in Residence of the town Vechta.
