Our offers for December

Before we take a short break at the end of the year, we will be offering three more consultation days until mid-December, during which our experts will provide assistance with finding an agency and publisher and getting started with podcast production.

Our advice day on finding a publisher and writing a synopsis on December 4 with Jaida Temperly is aimed specifically at English-language authors who live in Berlin but want to publish on the US or British book market. Freelance editor and publishing consultant Jaida Temperly has more than 10 years of experience in the US and UK literary scene and therefore knows exactly what is important when approaching agents and publishers in English-speaking countries. Unfortunately, all dates for the consultation day with Jaida Temperly are already fully booked, but you can put your name on the waiting list to be informed about slots that become available at short notice.

How do I start working on a podcast? What technical equipment and editing software should I use? How do I find my listeners? How long should my podcast be? How can I sound professional even as a beginner? On December 10, audio producer and podcast expert Susan Stone will be giving advice in German and English to freelance writers who want to start their own podcast.

On 11 December, author, translator & editor Jordan T. A. Wegberg will give German-speaking authors helpful tips on finding an agency and publisher and organizing one’s work, explaining what to look out for when choosing a publisher, when it makes sense to be represented by an agency and how best to combine a day job with one’s literary ambitions.

As always, all our consultations will take place via Zoom. You can register here.

We hope to welcome you to one of our last consultations of the year in the coming weeks.
