After acquiring her degree in Cultural Studies, Nina Thielicke worked as a producer for dance and performance, collaborating with the group Gob Squad, among others. Smaller projects led her to textile- and costume design. Since 2007, she is responsible for project funding and cultural education at the Deutscher Übersetzerfonds. Most recently, she co-curated the “Übersetzertag”, focused on literary translation and colonial heritage. Additionally, she curated the project „Echt absolut – literarisches Übersetzen mit Jugendlichen“. She speaks German, English, Dutch and (reasonably well) French.
