What were your greatest challenges in the early years of your career?
Finding funding for my work, it is an ongoing challenge for many writers and filmmakers at different stages of their career.
What advice would you give to those interested in working in your field?
Get started! Take the courses and workshops you need to give yourself a foundation in filmmaking and screenwriting. Read and consume a variety of stories, from books to films and of course screenplays. Write, write and write again! No matter how imperfect, keep honing your craft and practing on the screenwriting software of your choice, so you have several spec scripts to hand when an opportunity arises.
